Battery Demand Trends For Electric Vehicles

The world's motive power is still dominated by the internal combustion engine, but more and more vehicles and industrial machines are being powered by batteries every day.

In 2013 62% of new forklifts sold had internal combustion engines.  Today that percentage has dropped to 49%.

And automotive lithium-ion battery demand increased by about 65% to 550 GWh in 2022, from about 330 GWh in 2021.

Machine Maxx USA is a big proponent of electric forklifts.  Manufacturers continue to improve electric forklift performance and usability and as more new forklifts are sold with lithium-ion batteries it will make broader adoption easier.
