Jungheinrich – Manufacturer Profile
Jungheinrich (pronounced Young Hine Rick) is a publicly traded manufacturer of industrial trucks and warehouse solutions provider with headquaters in Hamburg Germany. Founded in 1953, Jungheinrich now employs 19,000 and sells 4.24 billion euros worth of new forklifts and warehouse solutions around the world.
As of 2020 delivery figures, Jungheinrich is the third largest manufacturer of industrial trucks in the world. Only KION Group and Toyota sell more forklifts worldwide. Mitsubishi Logisnext, producer of Cat and Mitsubishi forklifts, has partnered with Jungheinrich to have its North America dealers distributors and service Jungheinrich forklifts in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
Jungheinrich specializes in electric forklifts like sit down four wheelers and three wheelers, narrow aisle reach trucks, order pickers, and pallet jacks. Some of the more unqiue forklifts Jungheinrich makes are moving mast reach trucks. Reach trucks typically have a static mast with a carriage that moves out and back. With a moving mast reach truck the whole mast moves out and back, preserving capacity.
