A reach truck forklift is an electric stand up forklift in the narrow aisle category of forklifts.

A reach truck forklift has a scissoring reach function on the front that can thrust the fork carriage forwards and backwards.

The reach feature allows the forklift to have a smaller footprint which makes the aisle width requirement smaller and so maximizes warehouse storage space.

How long a lead-acid battery will last depends on a few important factors.
First is the manufacturer. Some battery manufacturers are better than others so it’s worth doing some research about the battery in the forklift you’re looking to buy.

Secondly, and more importantly is how a lead-acid battery is maintained. Keeping lead-acid batteries clean, maintaining electrolyte levels, and proper charging extend the life of the battery.

How a forklift battery is used changes how long it will last. Batteries used in a clean environment with constant temperatures that aren’t too hot or cold last longer.

Overall, lead-acid batteries should give the user 1500 to 2000 charge cycles depending on maintenance.

Replacing a lead-acid battery is a fairly easy process. The battery can be extracted and a new or used replacement battery can be installed. The old battery can be taken away by a service provider for recyling.

A lead-acid forklift battery should always be matched with the correct charger. The correct charger will have the correct voltage and current output for the battery your are charging.

Lifting capacities for used reach truck forklifts are typically limited to between 3000lbs to 4500lbs. Reach trucks are not made with lifting capacities much more than 5000lbs.

There are many more lift height options for reach truck forklifts. The shortest is option is right around 16 feet and the tallest options available are over 37 feet.
